For the first time, every senior will be a starter. The 2006 edition of the Rogers High baseball team is just like a litter of pups. We are young but they want to learn and they have been fun to be around.

That's a credit to our players for coming back the way they did. Away from home, after getting beat the first game, to come back and win that second game on the road, that's pretty big.

Don Lisi has become quite a good pitcher. Teams haven't scored much on him and he's got good command of his pitches. He can throw multiple pitches for strikes.

Don Lisi, this was his day today. (Lisi) kept them off balance and didn't give up big hits. I couldn't be any prouder of him.

Daniel has a very good arm. You are looking at someone that got beat 3-2 in the state tournament by the state champion.

Daniel threw the ball well and had a good effort. I was also real pleased with the way we hit the ball. We had a lot of timely hits. We were a lot more productive with runners on base and we played solid defense and made plays.

It was a nail-bitter until he (Golden) came in.

It was the best first inning in several games. That set the tempo for sure. That was big to get that big of a lead.

(Cody) didn't run the bases really well, but we we'll take what he did at the plate and what he did on defense any day. That was a good trade off.

Some days this spring, our two through four pitchers have looked great. But other days, our two through fours haven't looked that great. But I'm confident in their abilities.
